Responsibilities
- Represent and support all students of DCU.
- Over all running of Students’ Union including financial oversight.
- Develop Students’ Union Policy
- Co-ordinate Union Affairs.
- Strategic Development of the Union.
- Management and Development of Services.
- In conjunction with the Manager of Student Life, is responsible for the administration and staffing of the Union.
- Is Chair of the Union’s Executive Committee

Responsibilities
- Looks after all your Academic and Welfare needs, anything that basically affects your well being.
- Runs the Class Rep and Convenor system and sits on lots of committees on your behalf such as Academic Council.
- Is responsible for the promotion, development and implementation of the Union policies on Education.
- Is responsible for updating members on changes in the education system or changes within the educational structure of the University which are relevant to students
- Acts on behalf of the President in his/her absence.
- Acts as the Secretary of the Union’s Executive Committee

Responsibilities
- Co-ordinates and implements planned and publicised campaigns in support of all Union policies and strategies.
- Researchs and distributes information of use to the members of the Union.
- Acts as a point of peer-provided information to members.
- Works with the Education and Welfare Officer to ensure that adequate information is available to students regarding their education and welfare.
Dara McGann
Humanities and Social Sciences Convenor

Responsibilities
- Co-ordinates all Union activity within the faculty of Humanities, including the promotion and implementation of Union policy.
- Assists in the training and development of class representatives within the faculty of Humanities.
- Works with the Campaigns and Information Officer and the Equality Officer to ensure that the Union campaigns on issues particular to the faculty of Humanities, and that all students within that Faculty are represented in a fair and equitable manner.
- Works with the Postgraduate Education Officer to ensure that postgraduate students within the faculty of Humanities are being fairly treated and are aware of the postgraduate functions of the Union.
- Represents their faculties on relevant Faculty and University committees and bodies in the pursuance of the aims and objectives of the Union.
John Needham
Engineering and Computing Convenor

Willie Coyne
Clubs and Societies Officer

Responsibilities
- Is responsible for the representation of members and the implementation of Union policy in relation to extra-curricular activities
- Co-ordinates activities between the Union, Clubs and Societies.
- Responsible for communication between these three bodies.
- Sits on the Sports Club Committee(SCC) and the Societies and Publications Committee(SPC).
- Responsible for the Rag Week Charity Committee and the co-ordination of fundraising activities carried out by Clubs and Societies throughout the year.
- Sits on the Clubs and Socs Ball Organising Committee.
- Supports the development of new Clubs and Societies and ensures that new societies continue successfully.
Cara Murphy
Equality Officer

Responsibilities
- Is responsible for the representation of, and development of policy relating to the equal treatment of all Union members.
- Ensures that all policies and strategies of the Union acknowledge and cater for the diversity of the membership of the Union.
- Works with the Campaigns and Information Officer to ensure that the University cater fully for all members of the Union, regardless of any prejudicial factor.
- Works with the Campaigns and Information Officer to implement campaigns promoting the awareness and acceptance of the diversity present among Union members and within society.
